Surgical Artistry Modesto Marathon

Mission Statement

The Modesto Marathon was founded to serve the local community by providing top-notch marathon, halfmarathon and 5K running events while promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Proceeds will benefit the Teens Run Modesto program, which challenges area youth, especially those at-risk, to experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved physical fitness through a structured training program culminating in the running and completion of the Modesto Marathon.

"I'd like to challenge other sedentary types like myself to run/walk the marathon or half marathon. I can say with some certainty that if I can aim for this, many others can too. Plus it's for a good cause – the Teens Run Modesto program.  Couch lovers and runners should all come out for this event because it is history in the making – the Surgical Artistry Modesto Marathon."
